Who knew you could find such a microcosm of style in the heart of the Welsh countryside? We certainly didn't. The Corran Resort and Spa is a boutique hotel in Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, surrounded by acres of wild marshland and a 10-minute drive from the coast.
This is a resorted 16th century building, made up of 21 luxe, spacious suites. Its exposed brick walls and wooden beams stand in contrast to hip hand-picked furniture and fabrics in hot shades. While you're here make the most of the locally-inspired gourmet dining, get preened at the newly renovated spa and soak in the Jacuzzi until you prune.

Suites
Scattered throughout the resort, the hotel's 21 suites are all totally unique, yet offer similar facilities and plenty of space.
All suites have a cosy living area with deep sofas or armchairs to sink into and a swanky en suite bathroom, most of which have a standalone tub and separate shower.
You'll find a mixture of original and modern features and a quirky sense of style throughout.
